The company is based in Long Eaton, near Nottingham, in the factory we have occupied for the best part of a century. We continue to draw on the traditional clothing techniques and expertise of the Nottingham area where the company was founded back in 1860. We also have offices in London, where the marketing, online and wholesale team reside.

Senior Communications and Marketing Manager (London)


Role Purpose
The Senior Communications and Marketing Manager, reporting to the Head of Marketing will develop, execute and manage best in class marketing communication to drive awareness and growth in support of brand objectives across PR, retail and wholesale. This role will also manage the Marketing Assistant developing further their skills to support the growth of the company. 

PR and Marketing Responsibilities
• Develop with the agencies and take ownership of the Sunspel PR strategy that delivers against the Marketing strategy.
• Identify seasonal and core key messages which need to be communicated.
• Work with agencies and Head of Marketing on overall PR objectives and support.
• Create and manage a brand appropriate product placement strategy.
• Identify and deliver opportunities to raise the profile of the Creative Director (image & collection direction) and CEO (brand & business).
• Assume management responsibility for external agencies.
• Build and maintain relationships with relevant journalists and editors, ensuring Sunspel is always front of mind.
• Take the lead on profiling and recruiting unpaid brand ambassadors.
• With the PR agencies organise the press days to drive brand awareness.
• Create and distribute all press releases for the brand.
• To assist with VIP dressing appointments, ensuring that budgets are adhered to.
• Take the lead on sample selections for global agencies at the start of each season, in line with sales and merchandising.
• Oversee the management of samples.
• Organise and manage press events with PR agencies.
• Work on a partnership program to target publishers and other brands that share the same target market to build brand awareness and capture data for future newsletter targeting. ​

Wholesale Partnerships
Brand guardian in market, ensuring brand equity and vision is adhered to at all times.Working closely with the wholesale sales team to align on focus accounts for organic marketing inclusions.Paid partnerships with key accounts to drive brand awareness and sales.Define success metrics for all wholesale marketing digital activity.Nurture and build relationships with key retail contacts to keep Sunspel top of mind and on their radar for relevant marketing stories and product pushes.Monitor the retail competitor space to keep abreast of what the market is doing and to learn from other marketing executions implemented by competitor brands within key wholesale partners.

Retail Marketing
Provide monthly updates to store staff on upcoming marketing activities (e.g. launches, collaborations, key local cultural events).Own and manage the retail marketing activation inclusions with the relevant estates for each store location.Plan and coordinate marketing support for store openings.To support with store events from ideation, briefing, execution and post event performance deep dive, providing clear learnings and recommendations for future events.

Copywriter (London)


Role Purpose
A custodian of Sunspel’s editorial approach across all communication channels, balancing the brand and commercial attributes required for each written scope of work. You will have the ability to implement strategic thinking across appropriate platforms, with a combination of sharp copywriting skills and an acute understanding of digital sensibilities - SEO, product descriptions, email and content.  

Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for producing seasonal and core product description copy for the website.
• Ensure to communicate product and brand attributes in a succinct way that is optimised for SEO.
• Work closely with merchandising and ecommerce teams to deliver product copy on time.
• Delivery of website homepage and landing page copy refreshes, coinciding with the trade and marketing pushes for the month.
• Copywriting for Sunspel’s weekly emails (3 men’s / 1 women’s) to drive site conversions.
• Product storytelling around the Sunspel Icons for all customer touchpoints (e.g. website, in-store, social).
• Responsible for writing the press releases and lookbook copy for new season collections and collaborations.
• Be able to translate seasonal, campaign and collaboration messaging in windows and in-store devices.
• Work cross-functionally to ensure projects are adequately resourced and delivered in a timely manner.
• Ensure work is filed and easily accessible.
• Demonstrate a fair understanding of UX, SEO and digital best practices.
• Ensure all work is proofread, and error free.
• Adhoc copywriting requests.

Marketing Assistant (London)


Role Purpose
To support the Marketing Manager in successfully co-ordinating the PR activities and to offer support to the wider marketing team.

Overall Marketing Responsibilities
• Ensure all PR agencies, wholesale accounts, receive the relevant seasonal and campaign assets (stills and copy).
• Confidently carry out all agreed daily activities for the marketing department, as well as demonstrate flexibility to deal with adhoc requests.
• Assist during store events.Provide regular updates to store staff on all upcoming marketing campaigns and events.
• Stay abreast of industry news, trends and competitor activity but not limited to the fashion industry.

PR Responsibilities
• Manage the co-ordination and trafficking of sample send outs for shoots, fittings and gifting.
• Actively support with organising press days.
• Report on digital PR and print coverage and performance against KPIs.
• Manage all image requests from press within deadlines agreed.
• Collate and save out all editorial achieved and agency reports.
• Compile reports for the department including coverage reports.
• Manage the co-ordination and trafficking of sample for shoots.
• Ensure strict adherence to sample booking process and manage outstanding samples.
• Managing returns to the warehouse and design studios.
• Monitoring and tracking key publisher brand quotes.
• Build an internal press database.

Admin Duties
• Maintenance of the marketing cupboard/shelves ensuring they are organized.
• Book all PR couriers.Manage all new vendor forms with finance.

Merchandising Admin Assistant

ROLE
The Merchandising team ensures that our products are in the right place at the right time-whether in store, online or wholesale.  We use strategic forecasting and planning to build the range with our Design and Production teams. We react in season, adapting to the retail environment to use the stock on hand in the most efficient and commercial way.

The Merchandise Admin Assistant will report into the Merchandisers and will be responsible for ensuring stock is moved effectively and efficiently around the company as well as assisting in administrative tasks for the department. We’re looking for an analytical problem solver who is interested in luxury fashion. Experience isn’t necessary, but ambition to build a career in merchandising is.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Managing initial allocations, replenishment, and stock consolidations
• Analysing best/worst sellers to inform allocation and replenishment decisions.
• Sharing this information with the merchandising team and wider business
• Main point of contact for all stores regarding stock availability, deliveries, and replenishment.
• Building relationships with store visits.
• First point of contact for the warehouse, liaising around delivery issues
• Producing sales reports for trade meetings, range planning, pricing meetings etc.
• Supporting the merchandising team with ad-hoc analysis & admin work
• Analysis of sizing history to create ratios for future buys.

 

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

The following skills, qualifications and experience are preferred:

• Experience in an admin assistant or allocator role (not essential)
• Strong numerical & analytical skills
• An interest in fashion
• Microsoft Excel knowledge
• Graduate degree (not essential)

Assistant Merchandiser

The Company
Merchandising is a function at the core of Sunspel. We are responsible for planning, trading and managing the stock within the business as well as sharing insightful analysis which shapes the future of the brand. Your main responsibility will be to manage our stock across our channels. Ensuring that sales are maximised, and any opportunities are seized. Dealing with any poor performing products in the most cost-effective way for the business.  

The Role
The ideal candidate is a Senior Merchandise Admin Assistant ready for the next step or an existing Assistant Merchandiser looking for a new challenge. They will have a methodical and analytical approach, be data driven whilst having a good commercial eye and excellent excel skills. 

Key Responsibilities
• Ensure excellent availability on our best sellers.
• Responsible for forecasting our Never Out Of Stock tyles and placing buys with our production team.
• Regularly review store sales & stock mixes, oversee and influence store allocations tailoring each range to suit the customer profile and planned sales.
• Conduct insightful and actionable analysis, which helps the business make good trading and strategic decisions on a weekly/ monthly/ seasonal basis
• Become an expert on our systems, ensuring that our item information is regularly updated and accurate.
• Own the sizing of buys and raising of orders on the system
• Work with merchandiser & head of retail to build stock packages for new storesIdentify fragmented styles and manage stock consolidations
• Ensure stores are prepared for key trading events Investigate poor performing stores / category’s / styles 
• Visit stores – to share commercial insight and build relationships with the in-store teamsCo-ordinate stock counts – investigating any discrepancies with store teams
• Coach, support and assist the Merchandise Admin Assistant on the department

Experience and skills
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a merchandising role
• Knowledge of Netsuite, ometria, google analytics or sittoo would be beneficial
• An analytical and questioning mentality, with advance Excel skills
• Attention to detail is an absolute must.

Customer Service Advisor


The Role
The role of Customer Service Advisor is essential in providing an excellent shopping and service experience to all our customers. The Customer Services Advisor will work within a team to ensure accurate, on time and safe delivery of all orders, as well as driving sales and answering customer enquiries via phone, email and live chat. It is vital that we not only ensure that all orders are delivered promptly and correctly, but that we make customer satisfaction a priority at all time. 

Specific responsibilities:
• Provide excellent customer service is a pivotal part of this role.
• You will place orders, process exchanges and refunds, and answer any questions all in a prompt, courteous and efficient manner.
• You will communicate with customers via the phone, email, live chat.
• Work with the warehouse can carriers to ensure that the customer has the best delivery experience.
• Aid with the supervising and maintaining of the customers online shopping journey, ensuring imagery, descriptions, FAQ’s and content are correct.
• Look to where at all possible establishing long-term relationships with key customers based on data about their preferences, behaviours and purchases.
• Fraud checking and processing all orders that come through the website.
• Process returns and refunds in a timely manner.
• Confidently liaising with members of the team from other departments, including merchandising, marketing, production and store retail staff

Experience and Skills: 
• Proven track record of working effectively and efficiently within a Customer service or ecommerce environment.
• Experience with an online luxury retailer would be beneficial.
• Good administration and numerical skills.

E-Commerce Executive (London)


Key Responsibilities:

Website Management
• Supporting the wider ecommerce team with the day-to-day running of the Sunspel websites.
• Manage the set-up and upload of new products for each season and ensure all products are online in a timely manner.
• Responsible for preparing the website for all promotional offers and seasonal marketing activities.
• Ensure that categories are regularly merchandised and align with email and digital marketing activity.
• Look to continually improve processes and create efficiency through developing strong cross department relationships.
• Conduct competitor analysis to feedback ways to improve the Sunspel experience online.
• Carry out QA checks on products, categories and landing pages, identifying improvements.
• Troubleshoot issues both site functionality and customer service issues.
• Utilise ecommerce tools to improve onsite search, recommendations/personalisation and content pages to feedback improvements to the wider online, content and marketing teams.
• Review returns and provide insights to production team and update the website with additional information to reduce returns rate.

Sales and Reporting
• Carry out weekly, monthly and campaign-based reporting using Google Analytics and Shopify Plus.
• Highlight any learnings and opportunities.

Desired Skills and Experience
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar ecommerce role
• An analytical and questioning mentality, with advance Excel skills
• Good operating knowledge of Google Analytics and reporting skills
• Attention to detail is an absolute must.
